The storm just made landfall

The storm just made landfall

A quick observation.

Releasing one book is stressful.

Releasing a trilogy? Apparently my personality is now “runs on caffeine and questionable life choices.”

But… we made it.

Storm Surge is officially LIVE.

Which means:

  • The trilogy is complete
  • The chaos is contained (mostly)
  • And yes… everyone survives (emotionally questionable, but still standing). Well, everyone we want to survive survives…

If you’ve been with me since the beginning—watching Nick brood, David hack everything in sight, and Zach pretend he doesn’t have feelings—this is the moment.

The storm doesn’t just hit.

It finishes.

👉 [Grab Storm Surge here]

What you can expect in this one:

✔ Forced proximity (with weapons nearby, obviously)
✔ A heroine who absolutely refuses to stay safe
✔ A hero who realizes—too late—that she was never the liability
✔ A storm that escalates everything
✔ And a final confrontation that… does not go the way the villain planned

Also, small detail:

The entire trilogy now exists.

Which means you can binge:
– Storm Warning
– Storm Front
– Storm Surge

Like a responsible adult.

Or stay up until 3am making questionable decisions.

I support both.

And because I believe in rewards for excellent life choices:

I dropped something extra.

A bonus scene that happens between Books 2 and 3…

💍 Nick’s proposal to Kate
(Yes, that moment.)

More soon.

It’s time. Storm Surge is coming.

It’s time. Storm Surge is coming.

A quick observation.

Recipes are a suggestion at best.

You follow them diligently until the point where you’re standing in front of the oven, squinting through the glass, trying to decide if something is done… or about to go very, very wrong.

There’s a point in every book where it stops feeling like a draft—and starts feeling inevitable.

That’s where I am with Storm Surge.

The edits are tightening. Scenes are shifting. The pressure is building in all the right places.

And at some point, you stop adjusting—and you let it land.

So here it is:

Storm Surge releases April 30.

This one goes deeper.

Higher stakes.
More pressure.
And nothing stays contained.

If you’ve been following the series, you already know what’s been building.

If you haven’t… this is where everything comes to a head.

If you want a glimpse of what’s coming—
I’ve put together a short sample. Just enough to show where things start to shift.

So… where did April Fool’s even come from?

So… where did April Fool’s even come from?

A quick observation

Now that we’ve all survived April Fool’s Day…

I had a question.

Who started this?

There are a few theories, but one of my favorites goes back to 16th century France—when the calendar shifted and some people didn’t get the memo. They kept celebrating the new year in spring… and everyone else decided the appropriate response was to mock them.

Naturally.

And honestly? Not much has changed.

We still love a good misdirect.
A well-timed reveal.
That moment where what you thought was true… isn’t.

(It’s probably why suspense works so well.)

Which means, yes—April Fool’s is basically built on the same mechanics as a good story.

Set the expectation.
Twist it.
Watch the reaction.

Anyway… speaking of stories that might keep you guessing…

👉 If you’re new, Storm Warning is where it all begins
👉 Storm Front raises the stakes…
👉 And Storm Surge is coming very soon. (Zach doesn’t do “calm.”)

No tricks this time. Just good books.

More soon,

Let’s circle back to… absolutely nothing

Let’s circle back to… absolutely nothing

A quick observation.

I wanted to take a moment to touch base and share a few thoughts that have been on my mind as we move forward into this next season.

At the end of the day, it’s really about showing up as your authentic self and trusting the process. Now more than ever, we’re being called to think outside the box, lean into new opportunities, and really level up in ways that feel aligned.

Because here’s the thing: everything happens for a reason.

Even when it feels like things are a bit all over the place, it’s important to remember that we’re all on a journey. And while that journey might not always make sense in the moment, it’s all part of something bigger. Something meaningful. Something… transformative.

So if you’re feeling stuck, or like things aren’t quite clicking, just know that you’re exactly where you need to be. Growth isn’t always linear. Sometimes you just have to trust that things are unfolding the way they’re meant to.

And honestly? That’s a game changer.

Anyway, I just wanted to drop into your inbox and remind you that you’re doing amazing, you’ve got this, and the best is yet to come.

We’ll circle back soon.

More soon.

I make things up for a living

I make things up for a living

Hi Wildings,

Today is World Storytelling Day.

Which, if we’re being honest, is just a very polite way of celebrating people who make things up—and somehow convince you to care.

I mean, think about it.

Those characters? Don’t exist. That plot? Never actually happened.

And yet—you’re invested.

You stay up too late. You tell yourself “one more chapter” (it’s never one). You get emotionally attached to people who are, objectively, fictional disasters.

You’ve probably yelled at a character at least once.

And still… you come back for more.

That’s the magic of it, I think. A good story doesn’t have to be real. It just has to make you feel like it is.

The tension. The risk.

That moment where everything could fall apart… or finally come together.

Anyway: that’s what I’m doing over here. Making things up. Hoping you feel something.

And if you’ve ever lost sleep over one of my stories…

I regret nothing.

The Storm Intensifies

The Storm Intensifies

The Storm Intensifies…

Storm Front officially lands on Kindle Unlimited next Thursday, 2/26.

And this one?

It gets personal.

If Storm Warning was about surviving the storm…

Storm Front is about what happens when the threat moves inside your walls.

Lena Harris didn’t just take a job at Ivory Tower to rebuild her life. She took it to survive.

And David Jones—the sarcastic tech genius who sees everything—was never supposed to let anyone close enough to matter.

Until the sabotage traps them in an elevator.

Until secrets start unraveling.

Until protecting her becomes more than strategy.

💙 A Personal Note

This book was different for me.

David has always been the one who lightens the room. The one who hides behind brilliance and humor. But writing his story meant stripping away that armor.

And Lena… she carries quiet strength. The kind that doesn’t shout. The kind that survives.

Their story is about trust after betrayal.

About power that doesn’t demand—but protects.

And about choosing love when it would be safer to walk away.

I loved writing every second of it.

📖 Subscriber-Only Sneak Peek

Here’s a tiny moment just for you:

“You don’t get to decide what I can handle,” Lena said softly.
David stepped closer, his voice dropping. “No. But I do get to decide who touches you. And that answer is no one.”

He falls first.

He just doesn’t admit it.

🌊 And If You Think It Ends Here…

Let’s just say… Isla Nocturna is waiting.

Storm Surge is coming.

And Zach Steele does not forgive.

🌩️ Read on KU Next Thursday

If you’re in Kindle Unlimited, you’ll be able to download Storm Front on 2/26.

If you grab it that day—even if you don’t start reading right away—it helps more than you know.

And if you do read? A quick review makes a huge difference in helping the series grow.
